CHAPTER INFO

The Detroit Chapter of PayrollOrg is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to providing educational, communication, and networking opportunities for payroll professionals in Detroit and Southeastern Michigan since 1985.

History

The Detroit Chapter of PayrollOrg was organized in 1985. The Chapter has been hosting several meetings per year since that time. We organized the first Michigan Statewide Conference in 1989. We have twice received "honorable mention" in PAYO's Chapter of the Year recognition.  We also won 1st place in the 2023 National Payroll Week Online Survey Promotion as well as 2nd place in 2020. In 1997 Detroit became the second PAYO Chapter to have a web site. The website was completely redesigned in 2007, again in 2010 and most recently in 2020.  In May of 2023, our name changed to Detroit Chapter of PayrollOrg to align with the change made by The American Payroll Association to become PayrollOrg.
